An urban re-development proposal for Mumbai’s west coast, prepared at Architect Hafeez Contractor. The scheme runs a continuous green waterfront the length of the coast and threads a series of public set-pieces along it.
Each proposal takes an existing civic ritual or landmark — the fort, the idol immersion, the evening walk at Marine Drive — and gives it a piece of designed ground, so the new edge is built out of what the city already does there.

[ Waterfront master plan — the full west coast, north to south ]

[ Marine Drive — viewing decks stepping into the water ]

[ Worli Fort — a restored public setting at the sea wall ]

[ Worli Seaface — an immersion deck for the Ganpati idol ]

[ Hanging Garden — a new connection and viewing tower ]

[ Worli — a pair of deepstambh lamp towers marking the bay ]

[ Mahalaxmi — the proposed Ferris wheel over the green ]

[ Promenade — decks, fountains and planting along the edge ]
